Frequently Asked Questions

I have a car, but lost the title, will you buy it?

We will buy a car with no title if you have a different proof of ownership such as registration or a DMV printout and a valid ID.

Do you come look at my car to give me a price?

Not usually. In most cases we buy based on the weight of a vehicle. Buying based on weight means the condition doesn't factor in, so we can give you a set price without seeing the car. If you have a nicer car that sounds like we may be able to come to a deal on, then we may ask you to email a couple pictures or see if we can stop by to look at the car.

Are you going to quote me an inflated price then talk me down when you get there?

Absolutely not!! The only way a price would change would be if you told us you have the title then when we got there you couldn't find it. In that case, if you have the registration, we would still buy the car, but would pay $50 less for the titling fees. Title issues or missing major parts on the car are the only ways a quoted price would change.

How long does the total process take?

Intial phone call 5 minutes or so, 30 minutes to 2 hours until we are there to pick up the vehicle, 10 minutes to fill out paperwork, hook up the car, give you cash and leave:)

I live outside of Portland(Washougal, Scappoose, Canby, Woodburn etc) will you pick up my car?

Yes, but we will pay a bit less than if you lived in town to compensate for the additional mileage.

I'm worried about selling my car to an unknown company, I don't want someone driving it around and not switching it out of my name. How can I be sure nothing will come back on me?

We handle all the necessary DMV paperwork. As soon as your car is towed to or dropped off at our lot, our title clerk enters it into our inventory on DMV's website. Also we'll provide you with a Notice of Transfer and a copy of our dealer's license so you could also go online to notify the DMV that you sold the car. https://www.oregondmv.com/online/Sell.htm

Other companies offer 'free towing' why don't you?

They claim 'free towing' because your only option is that price whether you have it picked up or not. In most cases we offer more money than our competitors plus if you bring it in yourself we'll give you an additional $50-$75. So basically, their offer would be $300 with free towing! Our offer would be we'll pick it and pay $350 or you can bring it to us and we'll pay $425.*

*That's just an example, your car could be worth more!
